POS is the abbreviation of Point of Sale. POS module deals with retail selling of items. It encounters retail operations across finance, sales, procurement, warehouses and master data management.

10Soft Purchase Module would leave all POS activities nimble. POS is a windows based application and it works with online as well as offline database. 10Soft POS encompasses the functionalities like touch screen, integration with hardware devices like printer, cash drawer, card reader, smart card device etc, use of promotion coupons by customer in sales to purchase items, lock terminal, display etc.

10Soft POS

The properties of POS terminal like accounts, terminal, hardware configuration file, account book and book type, warehouse etc are defined by the Register file.

Register file is a very important file in this module. As POS windows application starts at client machine, it connects 10Soft application and shows available register list from which you select one then register number to this machine is assigned. So transaction performed is recorded with the assigned register number.

For payment, there would be some default payments like cash, promotion coupons etc. You can add custom types as per your requirements.

You can bind loyalty card to customers by issuing loyalty cards and can also re-issue them when needed. You can also de-activate loyalty cards.

For loyalty card holders, 10Soft POS module allows you to manage various loyalty plan details. It defines the reward point calculation, discount factor etc.

10Soft POS module gives you the facility for opening and closing the shifts as a way to manage multiple shifts. To perform sales transaction on POS terminal, it is required to open shift first.

To synchronize or download the the master data like inventory, customer, account etc Get Master Data function is used. And this master data is used for POS transaction.

The transfer of all shift transaction data from offline database to live database, Data Transfer – Transfer Shift Transaction Data function is used.

Transactions like sales, return, payment, receipt shall be performed on POS terminal locally in offline database. This function allows user to transfer these transaction to live database.

Selling of collected returned inventory items to or from retail customers is done through Sales functionality in 10Soft.

In case of any free item or discount on any particular item that is defined in the inventory file for sales item, 10Soft POS module automatically generates it.

POS module will update the values like Receipt Total, Tax, Discount, Net amount etc.

This module will give you the ease with shortcut keys for operations like inquiry, tender, Spaid, hold, retrieve hold, no tax/tax.

For customers having loyalty card, POS module would would scan loyalty card to increase or decrease the points.

With Payment functionality, Payment can be done to the customer or vendor. Payment can be done in multiple currencies

Shift related document contains documents that are generated for a particular shift.

It would list all documents like sales invoice, sales return, payment voucher, receipt voucher, journal entry etc generated from the shift.

If you want to de-register POS from the existing machines, you can do so by De-Register POS functionality. Once it is generated, you can install POS window application on another machine and assign the register on new machine.

You can transfer POS from current machine to another machine by Transfer POS functionality.
